Choose Right Candidate for Panki; if BJP Wants to Win This Vidhan Sabha at all Costs

Palamau: Responding to a question whether BJP will do what at Panki assembly seat. It has become more interesting after an ex-JMM leader Dr. Shashi Bhushan Mehta joins the party in most dramatic way at Party's office Ranchi.

Dr. Mehta is one of the main accused in the Suchitra Mishra murder case, and is presently out on bail. He was the director of Oxford Public School in Ranchi, where Mishra was working there as a warden, whose body was found by a roadside near Gandhi Ashram in Dhurwa in 2012. This could be big trouble for the BJP as the Brahmins community in the constituency (Panki) mightn't vote for BJP, which holds good position in the constituency.

Other-side, Dr. Amit Prakash, a doctor turned politician is first-rate choice for those who opposed the induction of Dr. Mehta in the party. Dr. Amit is also the in-charge of cleaning mission (prabhari swatchta abhiyan) of the Palamau commisionery. He has been unstintingly working in this constituency for many years, though he recently opted for active politics.

Satish Kumar, a distinguished psephologist opines that Brahmins can be a deciding factor in Panki Vidhan Sabha, if they wish, can do anything undesirable to the BJP. There is a phenomena sets into the heart and mind of people that they won't vote for; if Dr. Mehta gets ticket. The chaos erupts when victim's sons Abhishek and Ashutosh reached at venue with their relatives and demanded justice for her mother. They also submitted a memorandum to party's top brasses; however, nothing seems to happen so far.

Notwithstanding to this, BJP needs to take step with extreme care, if they really want to win this constituency, otherwise again will be bad-luck to the party, and the congress may continue to enjoy the victory, he added. In the complex situation – Dr. Amit could be the best suited for the BJP.
